How little does one eat to be considered anorexic?

I was just wondering... If I went on a diet of 600-800 calories, I wouldn't be anorexic, right? I know that's less than most people's diets, but I would still be eating fruits, veggies, grains, water, etc. So is that so unhealthy? Thanks

What I CAN tell you is that your diet is incredibly unhealthy. Your body will go into starvation mode, and it will cling to every calorie you consume, storing it as fat. Your body will also begin cannibalizing any muscle you might have. As a result, you might lose weight, but your body will not look fit or healthy. Eat at least 1200 calories per day -1500 would be ideal for most people trying to lose weight. Eat more protein and fewer carbohydrates.
